Consignment Store FAQ's

What is consignment?

Bringing your items to a local consignment shop is a great way to clean your closet and make some extra money!

It's really quite simple...bring us your freshly laundered items and we will accept the items we believe our customers will love. We sell your items for you and pay you commission! When your items sell, we put the money in your store account, and you can use it as store credit or request a check! We will research, price, display and market your beautiful items for 90 days.  At the end of your consignment period, items not picked up will become store property and may be donated. Remember, any of your items may be picked up prior to the expiration date!

How much money can I make?

Our knowledgeable staff will research what prices to sell your items.  You will receive:

  • 40% for items selling below $49.99
  • 50% for items selling between $50 and $199.99
  • 60% for items selling for $200 or more *The best consignment commission in Oregon!*

Fine Jewelry commissions:

  • 50% for items selling below $300
  • 60% for items selling for $300 or more

You can check on your account online anytime to find out how much money you have made! When we set up your consign account, our helpful staff will give you instructions to log in to your account online, set up your own password and view any balance you have earned. It is the consignor's responsibility to check on your items and pick up your commissions. Commissions not claimed within 12 months from date item sold will be forfeited. We are happy to mail your check for a $1.00 service fee.

Note: An item or buyer's fee is added to the final selling price of each item. This fee is used to cover a variety of administrative costs and is not included in the consignor's split. This allows us to provide you with a higher percentage commission and avoid charging you any membership or consignor sign-up fees.

What condition do my items need to be in? 

Cute, Current & Clean!

Clean: Please bring your items freshly laundered and in good condition. All items must be brought in on hangers with the exception of shoes, handbags and jewelry. The better your items look, the higher price we can put on them and the quicker they will sell. Take time for prepping!

Current: Please remember we are seasonal and we accept items in the current season:

  • Spring - February to April
  • Summer - May to July
  • Fall - August to October
  • Winter - November to January

How long do you hold onto my items?

Simply Posh: *NEW* 90 day consignment period

Posh Jewelers: 6 + month consignment period

If your items have not sold, we ask you to pick them up by your expiration date or they become property of Simply Posh and may be donated (jewelry items will be returned, not donated).

Note: Simply Posh maintains our customers items with the highest regard, but is not responsible for loss or damage due to fire, theft, or unforeseen catastrophes.

Live out of the area and want to consign with Simply Posh? You can mail your beautiful items to our store and we will mail you a check when they sell!  Call us to learn more.

When can I consign?

Consigning hours are Monday - Saturday until one hour before closing.

Simply Posh does not accept new consignments on Sundays.

No appointment necessary for bringing up to 20 items at Simply Posh. If you plan to bring more, please call ahead.
